The 1821 / 1945 Inscription Commemorates firstly the Mexican Independence from Spain and secondly the Alliance with USA into World War II. Originally the pure gold 50 pesos coin weighted 37.5 grams and , after the transformation by Piaget it weighs now a total of 42.8 grams. The side outer engraving says : Independencia Y Libertad. The Yellow Gold Piaget inner watch is 22 mm wide and works perfectly with its mechanical winding.
